Poster issued for the 1957 exhibition of Nína Tryggvadóttir at Galerie Arnaud. She is one of Iceland's most important abstract expressionist artists and one of very few Icelandic female artists of her generation. Mainly working in painting she also did paper collage, stained glass work, mosaic and more. She frequently based her compositions on nature where Icelandic landscape and the Nordic light played an important role.

This print was from the personal collection of Lydia W. Malbin and was displayed in the exhibition "EXTENSIONS OF THE ARTIST" 1969 at Krannert Art Musuem.

This poster is in great condition overall, with the expected signs of age and handling.
